St Anthony Park Junction was a timber mechanical tower constructed during World War II to replace an earlier structure which had burnt down.
This photograph shows the junction between the Northern Pacific freight only line between St Paul (in the background) and Minneapolis (lower right), and the Minnesota Transfer Railroad, whose line departs on the left side of this view.
