A view looking north past Dempster Street tower towards the terminal station for Chicago transit trains at Skokie. At this point the double track divides, andf the two lines to the left pass the terminal platforms to continue to Milwaukee.
A single car train of the North Shore company is about to pass the tower, which opened in 1925 with a 24-lever frame.
