A view inside Chambers Street tower on the New York Subway system.
The power-operated lever frame was manufactured by the federal Electric Company, and took the term miniature levers to its limit! The levers are a miniature representation of a full-sized interlocking machine, right down to the rockers driving the mechanical locking in the style of Saxby & Farmer, whose frames of the type were popular in the United States.
