This Roberts Key Staff instrument once graced Maddur Junction box on the Mysore State Railway, controlling the single-line section to Settihally on the line between Bangalore and Mysore City.
Roberts instruments were used to control single lines on both the Mysore State and the Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway, but appear to have all been replaced by Neale's Ball Token instruments, probably during the 1950's.
These instruments were manufactured in England by Walters Electrical Manufacturing Co, Kensal Road, London W.
