A general view looking east from Silkeborg station, with the Langas line
on the left and that to Skanderborg on the right. Silkeborg is a junction
station in central Jutland on the Branda to Langaa cross-country secondary main
line. In addition to being the junction for Skanderborg, it is the terminus of
two standard gauge light railways which are both served by the DSB station.

A closer view of the East signal box at Silkeborg. The box looks ramshackle indeed, but a newer one existed at Silkeborg West.
The shunt signals in the foreground are rotating point indicators,
similar to those used in Austria described on the page about
Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof.
