THE SIGNAL BOX |
OVERSEAS |

Morris is south of Winnipeg on the line to the US border at Emerson. The all-timber tower was just south of the Canadian Northern station, at the point where this line corssed the Canadian Pacific at right angles.
The tower is built entirely in timber, and although conventional stairs are provided at the far end for access to the operating floor, there is for some reason a sturdy wooden ladder fixed to the rear wall of the tower.
This view looks along the CP track, and in the distance a two-arm speed
signal protects a facing junction.
