Spring Hill is to be found on the Main Western line from Sydney, between Orange and Bathurst. It is the point at which the double line from Orange becomes single. This view looks along the Down platform towards Millthorpe. The signal box is the shed-like building closest to the camera.

This view shows the diagram of the layout clearly, with the NSWGR standard block instruments for the double line section to Orange East Fork box. The single line section to Millthorpe was worked by Electric Train Staff.
The indicator to the left of the instruments indicates the occupation of a track circuit.
Spring Hill box closed when the area became controlled using CTC from a
panel in Orange box in February 1977.
