This is a photograph taken in La Plata station, in the of Buenos Aires suburban area, during 1997 and shows the signal gantry there that was erected in 1925 by the former Buenos Aires Great Southern Railway, then under British administration. Later the line became Ferrocarril Sud and much later still Roca Line "Linea Roca of Ferrocarriles Argentinos". The plaques on the gantry and signals, which were manufactured by The Railway Signal Co. of Liverpool, can still be read.
