GWR INTERLOCKING Circular No10, 1915
by Peter Woodbridge
Its salutary to reflect that at a time when the Western Front was
being established and battles such as Neuve-Chapelle were being fought, the GWR
were issuing instructions about the jurisdiction of the District Inspectors
over Reading Works staff sent to assist them!
The text of Circular No10, which was simply titled "Interlocking"
has been left "as is", whatever anybody might feel about the poor wording,
split infinitives and inconsistent punctuation, this is how it was! The
document has been converted to Portable Document Format (PDF) to retain the
flavour.
